Help Raise the Ante on Peace - Remedy Your Patterned Brain!

I'm laughing laughing laughing?! The mind sure is a piece of work. How often do we become intimidated by our own mind? You know the kind of intimidation you experience when something or someone is getting at you in a way where you are fairly certain the outcome can only be bad?! Well if you are intimidated by your own mind, imagine all the stories you've been making up about the mind of another, like say a spouse, or a potential mate?! Those are the stories we could get awards for for sure!
Yesterday I watched myself create a drama in my head... on some level I knew the drama wasn't acutally happening, but it still created anxiety in the body in the form of a raised heart rate and in the mind as a feeling of dread. Of course this kind of thing has happened many times before and now I can often just watch it arise and pass and then, as I am now, laugh at the silliness of it all - while feeling grateful I didn't have to engage in that old pattern yet again. But prior to having a witnessing ability, the drama of the story would become a reality in my experience. And its the negative stories that really aren't fun.
What you think, you create. Thoughts become things. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep having.
We hear these saying and similar terms all the time, but do we actually stop to think what it means? And do we figure out how to apply that to ourselves... or just others??!
So if I create my thoughts, and my thoughts are anxious and full of dread, then I create an anxious, dreaded experience - UNLESS I can be my own witness and watch it unfold while remaining detached from the emotions the "story" is evoking. The key is to recognise our own patterns and change them. Introspection is that key... so I wrote an article about it... check it out here. You'll read about three ways you can change your conditioned brain so that you start responding to situations with greater balance and calm, so that you more often see the funny side and save yourself from the not-so-fun side.
Now, more than ever before, we need to raise our vibration. We need to live, laugh and love like never before. And we need to do all we can to make the most of this life we live... surely creating a peaceful, balanced mind in each one of our own unique selves can only help raise the ante on peace in the original face of the ONE TRUE SELF of which we are all a part.
