Nightmares or Shadows which is it?

Since this last winter I have had nightmares of shadows in my room. They have gotten worse. It is to the point I am waking up screaming unsure what is wrong but very afraid. I have now become afraid to sleep, which is detramental to my health as I am a student and I need to get up and go to school to do homework. Tonight while I was doing my stay wide awake routine I saw a moth and this "go back to your room" message was given to me.....this is very scary. How does one kombat this and how long does one must say no. Why doesn't one no be enough? I thought I have been saying no for some time now. Does anyone know any of these answers?

Become the Dream
Hi Sunshinespirit, In hypnotic dreamwork we become the different parts of the dream by feeling our way into them. So become the Shadows then say, "I'm the part of Sunshinespirit that is..............." and finish the sentence. At first perception these different aspects can come across as quite foreboding but as you sense and feel your way into them and resonate with them, you will begin to feel an empathy and understanding with them.
Often aspects of the psyche (of which the shadows are) can come across as dark and negative to get your attention. Soft, fluffy dreams don't inspire much change do they? So these ones that have you up all night trying to avoid them, will have a deeper meaning for you. Feel into them, find out what they want. They are just another aspect of you and I would say they are seeking to inspire change in you.
Remember they are just aspects of you, so there is nothing to be afraid of - it's just YOU. Once you see that you created the fear, you will better be able to interpret the symbology of the message, and create a more plesant experience for yourself.
You might like to look more into Randal Churchill's book "Become the Dream - the transforming power of hypnotic dreamwork". Its fabulous work, and if you can find someone that works in this way you might like to go see them... but you can do it for yourself also. Just read up on how to do so. Here's a link to the book http://www.amazon.com/Become-Dream-Transforming-Hypnotic-Dreamwork/dp/0965621804
You are on the brink of change... go with it... what you resist tends to persist... and you DO need your sleep... so become the dream and unite with the deeper aspects of yourself.
Thanks for posting, I hope this is helpful

Yes I also used to have
Yes I also used to have terrible nightmares and could never understand why, then I read books about our Shadow self and Subconcious and understood that these shadows or shadowy people in my nightmares where all part of me and once I acknowledged this and worked with it they went away.
Now I take note of what I call my 'Big Dreams' and after a couple of days I can usually understand what the message is about. Namaste Susan ~
